REAL Surrender

If you’re following these little snippets of my life, you’ll realize that God has been dealing with the entire idea of surrender in my life… surrender AND submission!

Today – well today He did it again. I ventured into a devotional I had long put down for the “harshness” of its approach, and WAMMO! as i picked it up and read – I couldn’t help but get the message. I’m not even going to try to capture it – check it out for yourselves (Total Surrender)

Things that make you go “HMMMM?!?!”

The number one that made me go “hmmm…” today thus far comes from the “Moments Together” devotional over at Cross-Walk.

Shirley Willis… living testimony

WOW!!! I mean… WOW!!!!

Check this out – a TRIBUTE concert to this lady, went from 7pm to 10:30pm -but that not the GREAT bit.. ALL three and one-half hours (no breaks) was various artists performing ONE item!!!! I mean EVERYBODY from the Jamaican gospel scene was there.

The Leader/Follower Issue

Over the past couple (2) days the “Moments Together” devotional has been looking at the authority of Christ in our lives – and sometime before that, my accountability team will testify receiving a message from me to the tune of – when it comes to your relationships on earth (work, marriage, spouse, friends) it matters more about HOW you follow or lead, rather than WHO is following or leading. more…

Listening as an example of God

I REALLY enjoy the Moments Together Couples devotional. I mean REALLY. Yeh, yeh – I aint married and what not – but the advice for a married couple applies to every single relationship you have… well… SOME of that advice – hehehehe ;)

Anyway – today’s Moments Together was about the value of listening – and I don’t mean hearing – I mean listening. Actively sitting there and just listening. I guess it hit home for me because its something that I’ve been struggling with recently. Just sitting and listening – not trying to immediately defend myself, or find the solution – or go.. “ok.. so what?” more…
